About Me
McKelvey

McKelvey is our new arrival. He is a piebald traditional heavy cob. he's only just turned 3 years old and is ready to begin his training.

We don't know much about his personality yet as he only arrived very recently, but he certainly seems to be a quick learner and anxious to please. We do know he was bought from dealers as a 9 month old, and according to the stud we purhased him from he had been "knocked around a bit" so he has a few trust and confidence issues that we will need to work through.

I'll post feet pictures when he is confident enough to allow us to take them. In the meantime here are some pictures to enjoy and a very short movie of him running around with his friend at the stud we purchased him from.

News about McKelvey writen by Becky

Kelvey has settled in really well and is getting used to his new home , family , friends and life as a member of the Armstrong herd .

He has now nearly worked  out the purpose of the electric fence as he has been biting the electric tape, getting zapped running away then doing it again to check if it really did bite him (thick horse).

Kelvey has made friends with bramble and will happily spend hours standing grooming him !

Me and kelvey are really engoying running around in the fields of going for long quiet hacks in the woods and have a faveourite trail called "the goat trail"

Link is bullying him a bit because he feels that kelvey is stealing his place in the herd.

Kelvey is a really big thing in my life and we are looking forward to spending many happy summers out riding in the woods or galloping on a beach !

I am really annoyed at my grandad because he called my lovely cob an ugly b****r but well what can i say about his dog ( he has a king-charles-cavilaer-spaniel-thing ) !
